Artificial intelligence (AI) is the use of artificial intelligence technologies to improve the world’s computer capabilities and its applications, according to Oxford University.
Artificial intelligence is a form of artificial knowledge and can be applied to many areas of the life cycle of the world, including medicine, transportation, and business, according the Oxford University Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (AIEL).
The AIEL has developed a list of the best artificial intelligence research universities and companies in the world and the top 10 artificial intelligence companies.
In 2017, AIEL was awarded the International Science and Technology Research Council (ISTRC) Innovation Award for its work on artificial intelligence.
In 2019, the company was named as one of the top 50 AI companies in Europe.
In 2020, the Oxford AIEL Research Centre (OAIEL) named AIEL the “World’s Top Artificial Intelligence Research University” for its outstanding contributions in the field of artificial intelligences.
It also was the first AIEL to be named among the top 100 AI research universities in Europe, said Oxford University in a statement.
“It is an honour to be recognized with such a prestigious award,” said AIEL co-founder and CEO Srivastava Gopalan.”AIEL will continue to expand its work with the next generation of AI technology to advance our understanding of the human brain and its role in the development of artificial intelligent systems,” Gopagan said.
The AIEEL list also named Oxford University the top artificial intelligence university in India, followed by the US, China, Japan, Germany and the UK.
The company was founded in 2014 by Gopan, a senior lecturer in AIE and the head of its AI department, and Prasad Srivatsan, an AIE faculty member.
In 2018, the university also was awarded an international research award for its research on artificial cognition, and its research and development programmes for artificial intelligence will continue in the next two years, the statement said.
