In an article published on Sunday, the Irish Times published a video titled ‘Artificially intelligent machines will revolutionise our lives.’
The video, which is titled ‘I’m an AI Engineer,’ begins by showing a human holding a smartphone, which shows the image of a human.
The video then cuts to a scene in which a machine, shown to be a humanoid robot, runs along a path.
The human, who is shown being controlled by the machine, then asks, “What would you do if you had a robot?”
The human replies, “I’d run to the supermarket and buy some bread.”
A robotic arm is seen pulling a human along.
The narrator continues, “We already live in a Golden Age of AI, and there’s no reason to think it won’t get better.”
Artificial intelligence is an emerging field of research which involves the development of artificial systems that can perform complex tasks such as learning or understanding the physical world.
Artificial intelligence can be used in the creation of autonomous systems or the creation and deployment of advanced computer systems.
The artificial intelligence field is expected to grow to more than $1 trillion in revenue by 2030, with the US and Europe forecast to overtake China in the field.
