Udemy is launching a course for its students to learn artificial intelligence from the perspective of humans.
The course, called AiN, will teach students how to design and build an AI class that will teach them how to build a class of bots to teach them to think, act, and communicate.
The class will be called “Humans of the World,” and Udemy said it is the first Udemy course to be designed for humans.
“Humans are incredibly smart and they’re also incredibly creative, but they’re a bit limited in what they can do, so we wanted to bring artificial intelligence as a subject into their life,” said Dan Dennett, Udemy’s head of content and community engagement.
“Humane AI will empower students to make a real difference in the world and to become leaders in their field.”
For the course, Udney will also be providing access to a course-like interface to the course.
The interface will allow students to customize the course in the course’s settings, such as the content they want to learn and the course schedule, so they can tailor the learning experience for themselves.
“The most important thing we want to do with this is to get the class into a room where people who don’t have access to the internet can come in, to take a class,” said Dennett.
“And then, in the end, have a conversation with them.”
The course is being offered at Udemy schools across the United States, and it will be available for a few weeks, but will be open for a one-time enrollment period.
Udemy hopes to have a curriculum available to all students by December 2019.
Udaya has already started accepting submissions for the course on the Udemy website.
The course will be free to download, but Udemy will need to earn money to cover the costs of the course for each student.
“Our goal is to make the course as affordable as possible, but we’re not going to be charging people to use the course,” said David Nolen, an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Virginia and an adviser to Udemy.
“The course will have an introductory price and a premium price.
So, we’re just going to have to work to make it as affordable for students as possible.”
The goal of the AiN class is to allow students who can’t afford a course to learn from humans and gain some confidence and knowledge about artificial intelligence.
“We want to show them what AI is capable of,” said Nolen.
“We want them to see what we’re doing with AI.”
The courses will begin in the fall of 2019.
